For the first ever NEWWA two lake, three in one fall tournament the weather could not have been more beautiful for both days. A lot of fish where caught both days, but not very many walleyes where brought to the scales.
On day one of the tournament at Lake DeSmet, there was only two teams that brought walleyes to the scales. The father son team of Frosty and Skyler Williams brought in the most weight at 8.82 pounds to win the day. Second place went to Tom Chapman and Jeanette Jacobson with 5.1 pounds.
William Weber, Al Falcon along with Chris Wiley, Shelley Channel both tied and split the pot for the biggest trout caught for the day at 19 inches.
Day two of the tournament was held on Keyhole Reservoir. Again it was another tough bite with only four teams bringing fish to the scales. Doug and Joshua Unterseher win day one with one big walleye weighing in at 9.10 pounds. Second place went to Seven Mullen and Jordan Wright with 8.06 pounds and third went to Walt Paddock and Ed Hoffman with 4.68 pounds. Fourth place went to Chris Wiley and Shelly Channel with 1.36 pounds. Keith and Sue Riggle win the biggest Crappie pot with a 10 inch fish.
When it was all said and done Doug and Joshua Unterseher was able to hang onto to lead with one big fish to WIN the NEWWA Fall Tournament with 9.10 pounds. Second place went to Frosty and Skyler Williams with 8.82 pounds. Steven Mullen and Jordan Wright round off the top three with 8.06 pounds.
