Northeast Wyoming Walleye Association Fall Tournament Rules
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Eligibility: Each team must have one member of at least 18 years of age. The entry is $175.00 per team.
2. Release of Liability: By signing the tournament entry form, all participants agree to the following Release of Liability: We, in consideration being permitted to participate in the NEWWA Walleye Tourney, our heirs, executors, administrators and assigns hereby release and forever discharge NEWWA from any and every claim, demand known or unknown, death or property damage resulting or to result from any accident which may occur as a result of our participation in the NEWWA Walleye Tourney whether by negligence or otherwise.
3. Only Walleye 15 inches or longer will be eligible to be weighed by contestants.
4. Regulations: each entrant must possess a valid Wyoming fishing license. All contestants must observe U.S. Coast Guard and Wyoming Parks & Historic Sites rules and regulations. Boats must have an attached Coast Guard rating plate. The motor’s horsepower may not exceed the rating. Contestants must comply with all Wyoming Game & Fish regulations.
5. Contestants may enter up to a three person team. The third contestant must be 18 years old or younger. OR 65 years old and older.
6. Tournament headquarters will be at Lake de Smet boat ramp on the 18th and the Empire Guest House on the 19th.
7. Tournament hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday Sept 18 and 19. Flighted trickle starts will be used.
8. Boats will receive an inspection prior to departure. No boats may have a Walleye on board prior to take-off
9. Artificial & live bait that complies with Wyoming Game & Fish regulations will be allowed.
10. Each entrant is required to wear a PFD upon take-off each day. Safety at take-off will be everyone’s responsibility.
11. Length to weight conversion tables will be used for scoring.
12. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in tournament boats.
13. Scoring: This is a KILL tournament! Each team may weigh in five (5) live fish daily with a minimum length of 15 inches. No more than (5) fish in the live well at one time and you can weigh in a total of (7) fish during the tournament.
14. A short rules meeting at the Lake de Smet boat ramp at 5:30pm on Friday Sept 17th, 2010. Day two weigh in will be held at the Empire Guest House in Pine Haven on the 19th.
